Boy can I relate. It was my mother who kept everything. There are literally two rooms full of fabric at her house, some of it assuredly from the 70s. I was helping my dad look for something yesterday and opened a closet to find it was full from top to bottom of candles. Literally a lifetime supply. She has hundreds and hundreds of thimbles all over the house in little displays. Having helped clear out both of my grandparents houses, I have been trying really hard not to be an accumulator for quite some time. And yet from time to time I notice how things have grown. I have kept very small things with sentimental value, but when the time comes clearing out my parents house is going to be awful.
